A delicious Taxi ride
Spinach salads, cumin-encrusted breads, bekti in a tangy harissa sauce and zuccoto for dessert. Plus white and red wines, spicy Bloody Marys and mint caprioskas. Now this is what you call a power lunch. Well, brunch.
Taxi restaurant and lounge in South Mumbai has introduced a new Sunday brunch. So get ready for their ambitious omelette and waffle station. (Read: strawberries and cream, drizzled with maple syrup.) There’s also a wood fire oven for personal-sized pizzas.
Men dressed in khakis and polo shirts and women wearing wispy tunics and ballerina flats will fit right into the cool and casual crowd.
The blissful marriage of teal and gold décor, lofty ceilings, and the ornate-rimmed mirror by the bar all make for the perfect setting to sip and nibble away the day.
If only there was a bed for your Sunday afternoon nap.
Taxi, The Fusion Kitchen, Jony Castle Building, Khatau Road, Off Wodehouse Road , Colaba, Mumbai. Telephone: 22184904.
Brunch costs Rs 900.
