Hunt for the best undiscovered accessories

Today Trendylicious begins an occasional series, Diamonds in the Rough, to take you on a neighborhood hunt for the best undiscovered accessories. This trip: the tree-lined streets of Bandra and Khar.

First stop: Karma Kola. This teeny, cult-favourite is known for block-printed tunics and smock dresses.
Diamond: Rhinestone-studded satin, silk and leather stilettos in turquoise and pink that bring the bling to your evening wear.
Karma Kola, Bajaj Niwas, Linking Road, Khar (W). Tel: 26040562. Prices from Rs 1,500.

Next up: Moss. Down the road from Olive Bar & Kitchen, this chic store deals only in handbags.
Diamond: Woven wicker and rattan one-of-a-kind clutches with delicate multi-coloured beading.
Moss, 15 A Union Park, Khar (W). Tel: 26460707. Prices from Rs 2,500.

Last: Magnolia. This flirty boutique in a residential building has fresher jewellery than estate-type pieces elsewhere.
Diamond: Oversized turquoise, amethyst and coral-coloured necklaces with stones in different shapes and sizes. Either as pendants on mesh silver chains or full necklaces of beads, these styles add character without being overbearing.
Magnolia, 2 Dunhill Dome, St John’s Road, Pali Naka, Bandra (W). Tel: 26555798.
Prices from Rs 1,500.

Okay, it wasn’t all that rough. But, boy, did we find some diamonds!
