The Da Vinci food code
Whatever happened to those car keys? Or that one missing sock that never came back from the laundry? And your favourite neighbourhood eatery that relocated?

Trendylicious has cracked the code on this last mystery for you Bandra-ites. We discovered that Restaurant Da Vinci quietly opened its new digs a week and a half ago with an elegant, but casual look, big entertainment plans and the same Italian food you love.
The Fettucine Carbonara is creamy and crisp with bacon bits, and anathema for the cholesterol-wary. The Aubergine Parmiggiano is a paean to aubergines, and not for garlic haters.

Next week they start serving a decent selection of wines and beers. Their desserts are scrumptious – especially the chocolate ganache.
They’re open for lunch through the last dinner order at 12:30am. But the new place is small, so don’t go in a group of more than five or six.
On weekends a saxophonist plays or a live band belts out Sinatra classics. And Mambo Italiano night comes every other Wednesday, the only time when you can order pizza by the slice after 7:30pm and wash it down with some funky drinks.
While you’re waiting for that sock to turn up, you might want to drop in at Da Vinci. It won’t be your last supper there.
