Paragliding course for sky-kissers
On the seventh day God sat back, looked up at the skies, and said, “Now if only they could get up there.”
You’re heading up there, kiddo. Flying professionals Eric Menezes (the Civil Aviation Directorate-General-certified chief paragliding instructor), Mangesh Dighe and Neeraj Malve are conducting two paragliding courses this month at Hoskote, on the outskirts of Bangalore.
These hi-fliers have everything you need to hi-five the clouds and cheep the birds. Just bring a clear medical record and something comfy to wear.
Session 1: Get to know your glider and the mechanics behind a good flight. Session 2: Start flying (well, 50 ft high, at least), aided by a winch, and mug up theory on smooth take-offs and landings. Session 3 arms you with more height and more independence. Session 4, you’re so soaring.
So go show off to those handsome eagles, babe. Display your shiny feathers, wink at the sun, wave to a pal. And make a landing smooth enough to ‘Woah!’ your instructor.
On September 15, 16, and September 22, 23. Timings: 8:30 am-10 am and 4:30 pm- sunset. Maximum head count: eight for each two-day batch, on a first-come-first-fly basis. Fees: Rs 9500. For details, contact Neeraj Malve on 9341961262/ 9980761262 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
