Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2008
KGAF faithful: Can you believe it’s been 10 years? Yeah, it’s become a bit commercial of late, but it’s evolved, too. The literature section’s really taken off. And I’m going to do the heritage walks and bus rides this year.

Foodie: I’m waiting to binge on Chetana’s chaat and the Balinese Clay Pot from Joss.
Celluloid junkie: Hindi, Marathi, English, French-African, Korean — I’m going to get my movie fix for sure.
Theatre buff: Comedy, brain-food, historical, even children’s plays. I’m SO looking forward to seeing the Ruskin Bond adaptation.
Twinkle toes: This year’s dance line-up is to die for. Everything from regional to classical to Capoeira to Zumba to Mallika Sarabhai’s troupe to Remo and Chhau dancers to Tibetan folk .
Music aficionado: Okay, okay, we got the point. You’re starting to sound as breathless as Shankar Mahadevan. And even though he isn’t part of the extravaganza this time, there’s everyone from Pankaj Udhas to the Navy Band. Shh now — I’m resting my ears in anticipation.
Trendy thrill seeker: Let’s not forget the zany exhibits, shopping at NGO stalls, creative workshops, plays by street kids or Muse’s high fashion show. The sheer energy and excitement in the precinct get me all charged up.
All: The score’s unanimous. Full marks to this fun-filled fest.
