Furniture and more at Soulscape

The end of the financial year’s coming up and no one’s happier than me. The last-minute tax-saving measures will be history, finally. And now that I’ve got used to living within a budget, I can just as well blow the April surplus at Soulscape, the ‘furniture and more’ store I’ve just discovered at Indiranagar.

Soulspace

It seems to have something for every mood. Whether I’m going for clean and minimal or looking for something opulent, Soulscape has something I fancy.

Conversation pieces from all over the world. Wood from South-East Asia and Europe. Wallpapers from Brussels and Paris. Recliners from Singapore and sofa sets from Italy. And, totally tailor-made for lazy lie-ins, bedroom units that are fixed up to allow me to eat, watch the telly and work on my laptop (besides sleeping and chilling, of course).

End-of-the-financial-year pangs, though, warn me to set my sights lower. So I’m glad I’ve also spotted the artefacts from the Metropolitan Museum, New York. I love the 19th century replica jewellery boxes, the red shoe bookmarks and, most of all, the Color Magic desk clocks. As each second ticks by, the colours change, covering the full palette in one minute.

Now if only the countdown to the end of FY07-08 would be as pleasurable.
