Every once in a while, girl wants an extra dose of TLC. After all those hectic meetings in office, I feel like letting my hair down and going in for a day long indulgence that will relax me and make me look good at the same time.

So I dedided to give one of the day packages at the French salon and spa, Jean Claude Biguine, a go. The spa has four packages - French Day, inspired from the French way of living with French Manicure and Pedicure and an hour long Biguine Bio Facial; Spa Prestige, includes the Phytomer facial and a Spa Prestige Body treatment; Cocoon Break Essential Satin Treatment with a Phytomer facial and body therapy; Biguine Day with Biguine Body Scrub and Bio Oxygenating Facial; and Global Day with Phytomer Facial and Body Massage.

I opted for the French Day service. My pamper fest started with the basic pedicure and manicure – my hands and feet were neatly scrubbed, cuticles wiped away and nails filed and buffed to smoothness. Since my skin was super dry, the technicians first massaged in heavy duty moisturising lotion from OPI, which also had anti aging properties. I loved the way the pedicurist and manicurist applied bright red polish on my hand and toe nails. They were meticulous and very neat.

After the hand and foot treatment I padded off to the facial room where I was offered the Biguine Bio Oxygenating Facial to revive my tired skin. The products used are 100 percent organic. The treatment started with a gentle face and shoulder massage followed by cleansing. Then my therapist scrubbed my face and neck with the sunflower exfoliator, a unique mask-like scrub that gently removes dead skin cells as it is wiped off. Then she used special massage oils on my face and gentle steam to draw out impurities. After, she massaged in the glow serum meant to revive skin’s lost glow. Then my skin was toned with a mask which was meant to heal sensitised skin, and finally she massaged me with a light moisturiser to protect my skin.

I came out glowing and utterly pampered.
